Since its inception in 1994, the Blackpool Cup has established itself as a beloved international youth football tournament held in the vibrant seaside town of Blackpool, Lancashire, England. The 2026 edition will welcome around 140 boys’ teams from a range of nationalities, including regular participants from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, alongside several continental European teams. Scheduled to start on April 4th 2026, the tournament features age categories from U9 to U17, with a strong emphasis on competitive football and cultural exchange. Each team arrives with its own goals—some seek international competition, others the unique attractions of Blackpool, and many are drawn by the heritage of football icons like Manchester United and Liverpool. This diversity of purpose and the tournament’s warm, inclusive atmosphere have made the Blackpool Cup a true football classic in the North West England region.
